Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Christchurch
Arrive in Christchurch and travel by private car to The George Hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring some of the 600 parks and gardens in Christchurch, or enjoy a relaxing ride down the River Avon in a traditional punt (own expense). Dine at one of The George's fine restaurants, including the award-winning Pescatore. Overnight: The George, Executive Room for 2 nights
Day 2: TramCar Dinner
This morning welcome the dawn with a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Canterbury Plains in full view of the snow-capped Southern Alps and the Pacific Ocean (optional, own expense). In the early evening, board a historic tram which takes you past the Christchurch city sights as you enjoy a four-course dinner with beverages included. (B,D)
Day 3: Millbrook Resort, Queenstown
Depart by private car to Christchurch Airport. Fly to Queenstown (airfare not included) and travel to your Millbrook Resort accommodation. The afternoon is free to relax at the resort, explore historic Arrowtown or tour the local vineyards. This evening, enjoy dinner at one of the four onsite eateries (own expense). Overnight: Millbrook Resort, Villa Suite Superior for 3 nights (B)
Day 4: Milford Sound
Today, experience magnificent Milford Sound on this exclusive small group tour. Follow the rugged Remarkables mountain range and enter the Fiordland National Park, driving past ancient alpine beech forest, stunning waterfalls, and the famous Mirror Lakes. Upon arrival at Milford Sound, board a vessel and cruise the majestic Sound. Here, marvel at the wonderful Mitre Peak - glacier scarred rock walls that rise vertically from the sea, and waterfalls that tumble from hanging valleys and crash into the water far below. A sumptuous lunch is served on board. Return to shore before making your way back to Queenstown. Alternatively, you may wish to travel back to Queenstown via a scenic flight (optional, own expense). Day 5: Millbrook Resort at Leisure
Millbrook Resort, approximately 20 minutes outside of Queenstown, is a truly relaxing, luxurious retreat. Designed to embody the New Zealand country lifestyle and make the most of its stunning surroundings, Millbrook is a year-round recreational paradise. (B)
Day 6: Depart Queenstown
Transfer back to Queenstown Airport for your onward flight (airfare not included). (B)
